Production Operative 

Location: Wimbledon, London

Salary: £26,416

Shift Pattern: 6 Day shift patterns

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week 

Due to our continued growth, we are currently looking to recruit full-time Production Operative/Machine Operators to work in our production facility in Wimbledon. As a Production Operative your role will involve peeling, cutting and dicing products to a high specification, using the latest specialist machinery, whilst keeping your workstation clean & tidy throughout your shift.

Please note the role requires you to work in a chilled environment of temperatures ranging from of 3°c – 5°c, A good level of fitness is also required for this role. 

Production Operative / Machine Operator Duties:

  • Peeling, cutting and dicing products to a high specification, using the latest specialist machinery,
  • Inspect products during the production process to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
  • Assisting in packaging of finished products, labelling products and preparing for distribution 
  • Follow food safety regulations and standards to prevent contamination and ensure product safety
  • Ensure all stock is used in accordance with the Company Stock rotation process.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of your work area by applying the Company ‘Clean as you go’ policy at all times.
  • Prepare customer orders accurately, to customer requirements and to the production plan.
  • Report any shorts or damaged products.
  • Load finished products onto a pallet ensuring to avoid compression and damage to product.
  • Always adhere to Company Policies and Procedures.

Production Operative / Machine Operator Requirements:

  • Previous Machinery Operating Experience in a Production Environment (Essential)
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and Practices (HACCP)
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a chilled environment Very good computer skills.
  • Familiarity of working within a warehouse environment.
