Job Overview
We are recruiting a Purchasing Coordinator to join the procurement function at Kepak’s Cavan site. This is a key support role within the purchasing team, responsible for coordinating day-to-day procurement activity, maintaining supplier and purchasing data, and ensuring materials and services are available to support production and business operations.
Working closely with Procurement, Operations, Finance, and external suppliers, this role plays an important part in maintaining efficient purchasing processes in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities

Raise and manage purchase orders in line with demand, budgets, and approval processes

Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery schedules

Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier details, and system data

Monitor stock levels and support inventory control to avoid shortages or overstocking

Track deliveries and resolve invoice, pricing, or quantity discrepancies

Support procurement reporting, cost tracking, and supplier performance reviews

Work closely with operations and planning teams to align purchasing with production requirements

Ensure purchasing activity complies with company policies, food safety standards, and audit requirements

Assist with supplier onboarding, documentation, and internal system updates
Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination role

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

Confident communicator, able to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Comfortable working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Commercial awareness with a practical, problem-solving approach

FMCG or food manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential
