QA Manager — Avara Foods

QA Manager opportunities are available with Avara Foods, one of the UK’s leading food manufacturing businesses. This role is listed via the Meatex Jobs Board and is ideal for an experienced quality professional with a strong background in food safety, audits and team leadership.

Role overview

You will lead site quality assurance activities, ensuring products meet all food safety, legal and customer requirements. The role focuses on maintaining standards, managing audits and supporting operational teams to deliver consistent quality performance. You will work closely with the Technical Manager and wider site leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day QA operations across the site

• Support and maintain BRCGS and customer audit standards

• Oversee HACCP, GMP and food safety systems

• Lead, coach and develop QA team members

• Investigate non-conformances and manage corrective actions

• Review specifications, procedures and quality records

• Support continuous improvement and compliance initiatives

What you’ll bring

You have proven experience as a QA Manager or Senior QA within food manufacturing. Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP and food safety legislation is essential. You’re organised, confident working with audits and comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced environment. Experience in high-risk or poultry operations is an advantage.
