Role overview
In this role, you will lead the Quality Assurance function within the primary processing unit. From day one, you will take ownership of food safety, quality, legality and animal welfare standards, while driving continuous improvement and promoting a strong culture of accountability and compliance across the site.
Key responsibilities

Ensure compliance with food safety, legality and quality standards

Maintain and develop HACCP and site quality management systems

Lead and manage the QA team to deliver departmental objectives

Conduct internal audits and support external audits and inspections

Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions

Provide training and guidance on food safety and quality procedures

Work closely with production and technical teams to resolve issues

Monitor and report KPIs related to quality and food safety performance

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site

Ensure customer specifications and regulatory requirements are met
What you’ll bring
You bring a qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline, alongside Level 4 HACCP certification. In addition, you have strong experience with HACCP, BRCGS, GMP, TACCP, VACCP and UK/EU food safety regulations. You communicate clearly, lead confidently and demonstrate a proven track record in audit management, food safety compliance and quality systems leadership. Knowledge of animal welfare standards is essential.

This is a full-time, permanent role based onsite in Aberdeen, Scotland.
