Quality Assurance Operative Cross Hands role available with Dunbia UK, a leading food manufacturing business. This vacancy is advertised via the Meatex Jobs Board and is based at Dunbia’s busy Cross Hands site, supporting food safety, quality and compliance across factory operations.
Role overview
In this role, you will work as part of the on-site QA team, reporting to the Quality Manager and supporting production to deliver best-in-class food safety and quality standards. From day one, you will carry out inspections, testing and monitoring activities to identify defects and ensure compliance with product specifications. As a result, you will play a vital role in protecting product integrity and customer confidence.
Key responsibilities

Carry out food safety and quality checks in line with company policy

Support the factory in maintaining good manufacturing practice

Promote, monitor and report on hygiene standards

Complete in-process and finished product checks within production areas

Collect and submit end-of-shelf-life samples to the microbiology laboratory

Complete, store and maintain QA paperwork accurately and legibly

Raise exceptions, report issues and ensure corrective actions are taken

Support the setup and use of QA testing equipment

Assist across departments during holidays, absences and peak periods

Use and store PPE correctly at all times

Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards in line with company rules

Undertake ongoing training and development as required
What you’ll bring
You bring a flexible, proactive approach and the ability to use your initiative in a factory environment. In addition, you understand the importance of strict product specifications, food safety and hygiene standards. You work well as part of a team, remain adaptable during busy periods and are willing to train, learn and develop your skills further.
Previous experience in a food manufacturing, QA or production environment is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided before commencing duties.
