Our Technical department is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician (QA) to join the team. Our ideal candidate would have previous experience gained within a similar role within food manufacturing. However, for the right person, full training can be given to those who enjoy working as part of a small team and alongside other departments on site to ensure adherence to product safety, legality and quality.
Role responsibilities include:
- Identifying non-conformance and, where empowered to do so, implementing improvement actions to ensure that the business is compliant and we are continuing to be the best we can.
- Verifying actions taken from non-conformances raised
- Auditing of Quality Management System (QMS), process, GMP, fabrication and hygiene
- Verification of hygiene standards (ATP, Visual, Environmental Swabbing) and temperature control
- Calibration verification of key equipment used in the QMS, such as temperature probes, scales, salt analysis, etc.
- Investigating customer complaints, supplier non-conformances and internal non-conformances
- Correct sampling collection, registration and sensory evaluation testing
- Providing training and support where required
- Creating an engagement in food safety culture
Flexibility is going to be required in this role as once or twice a month you will be required to work a 6pm – 2am shift to take handovers from our night’s team.
