We are looking for a highly visible, hands on Quality Factory Manager to lead quality, food safety, and compliance activities within a fast paced manufacturing environment.

This is a factory-floor focused role, not a desk-based position. You will work directly with production teams to drive standards, resolve issues in real time, and ensure product integrity at every stage of the process.

• Location: Kirkconnel DG4 6RB (must be able to commute/relocate)
• Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE
• Driving licence: Preferred
• Work authorisation: Must have the right to work in the UK
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• On site role

What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintaining a strong daily presence on the factory floor
• Leading and supporting factory-based QC activities
• Ensuring compliance with quality and food safety systems
• Driving GMP, process control, and product quality standards
• Investigating non-conformances and implementing corrective actions
• Overseeing supplier approval and raw material compliance
• Leading traceability exercises and supporting audits
• Acting as one of the key technical voices across site operations

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a Quality / Technical Management role within food manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems, and factory operations
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset
• Confidence working directly with production teams
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
