Salesperson — Beef Processing & Wholesale | Coventry or Home Based
Cumberland Meat Packers is an independently owned beef cutting plant based in the West Midlands, supplying vacuum packed and frozen beef to wholesale, manufacturing and trade customers. The business has a strong reputation in the industry and is now looking to broaden its customer base and product reach.
This role is ideal for an experienced meat trade salesperson with strong contacts, drive and the ability to sell across UK and imported beef categories.

Role purpose
As Salesperson, you will be responsible for developing new business and growing existing accounts across a range of vacuum packed and frozen beef products.
You will represent the business to customers across wholesale, manufacturing and foodservice, using your market knowledge and sales skills to drive volume and margin growth.

Key responsibilities
-
Sell vacuum-packed and frozen beef products into the trade

Develop new customer relationships and expand existing accounts

Identify opportunities to broaden the product base with customers

Manage your own sales pipeline and accounts

Negotiate pricing, volumes and commercial terms

Work independently while representing the business professionally

Maintain strong relationships with internal operations and production teams
What we’re looking for

Proven experience in meat or food sales (beef knowledge essential)

Strong understanding of UK and imported beef markets

Self motivated, hardworking and target-driven

Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills

Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

Existing industry contacts highly advantageous
