Senior Engineer Eye Suffolk roles are available with C&K Meats, an award-winning British pork producer based in the Suffolk countryside and part of the wider CPC Foods Group / Premium Food Group. Role overview
You will provide technical support to the Head of Engineering and wider engineering team, ensuring the effective maintenance, repair and improvement of production assets. The role is hands-on and focused on minimising downtime, improving performance and ensuring all engineering activities meet health, safety and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities

Support maintenance, repair and improvement of production lines and site assets

Assist with fault finding, breakdown response and preventative maintenance

Identify and analyse engineering issues before they escalate

Support installation and modification of equipment and production lines

Manage contractors and ensure safe working practices

Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and environmental standards

Work with CMMS and planned preventative maintenance systems

Support continuous improvement and equipment efficiency (OEE)

Communicate effectively with engineering, production and management teams
What you’ll bring
You hold NVQ Level 4 or higher in mechanical and/or electrical engineering and have experience in a multi-discipline engineering role within manufacturing, ideally food processing. You have strong fault-finding skills, experience with PLC systems and electrical circuits (18th Edition preferred), and a good understanding of BRCGS standards, HACCP, TACCP and GMP. You’re confident working autonomously, communicate well and apply company policies fairly and consistently.
Pay, hours and location
This is a full-time, permanent role based at C&K Meats, Eye (near Diss), Suffolk. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 16:00–01:00, with a one-hour unpaid break. Salary is up to £54,724 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include 33 days’ annual leave (with option to buy more), GroceryAid support, and access to colleague rewards and benefits.
