Hedges butchers are looking for a passionate butcher that is looking to put his own spin on our shop in Botley.

Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cut meat products according to customer specifications
– Ensure the quality and freshness of all meat products
– Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines
– Maintain a clean and organized work area
– Assist customers with their meat selections and provide recommendations
– Receive and inspect meat deliveries for quality and accuracy
– Operate and maintain butcher equipment and tools
Requirements:
– Previous experience as a butcher is a must! capable of breaking down 3 species to high level needed
– Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques
– Excellent knife skills and ability to handle sharp objects safely
– Understanding of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
– Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers
– Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
