Skilled Meat Deboner Bayland roles are available with Irish Country Meats, the specialist sheep meat division of the ABP Food Group. This vacancy is listed via the Meatex Jobs Board and is based at the Bayland site in County Wexford, Ireland.

Role overview

In this role, you will work as part of a high-performing boning hall team, supporting daily and weekly production targets at maximum line speed. From day one, you will apply advanced knife skills to break carcasses into specified cuts, ensuring product quality, yield and customer specifications are met. As a result, you will play a key role in maintaining efficient throughput and consistent standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Fully debone entire carcasses and separate all cuts at maximum line speed

  • Cut, trim and prepare meat to specific customer and industry specifications

  • Use knives, cleavers, meat saws and band saws safely and effectively

  • Move carcasses through production areas without damaging product

  • Maintain product quality while working to challenging production targets

  • Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times

  • Work independently while contributing positively to team performance

  • Carry out additional reasonable duties as required

What you’ll bring

You bring proven skilled boning experience, excellent knife skills and in-depth knowledge of the butchery trade. In addition, you understand customer specifications, work well under pressure and communicate effectively within a production team. You are comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including lifting and standing for extended periods, and remain willing to learn and develop further.

Pay, hours and location

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Bayland, County Wexford, Ireland.

  • Hours: 39 hours per week (standard working week)

  • Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

  • Training provided, including English language support and company procedures
