Foyle Gloucester requires a Slaughter Hall Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most progressive beef processing groups in the UK and Ireland.
The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Slaughter Hall Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for influencing attitudes to adopt and impose good factory practice. We are looking for someone with proven leadership skills, who will be accountable for motivating staff to operate safely, effectively and efficiently within the Slaughter Hall.
The Job:
• Monitoring of production to ensure that processes remain cost effective.
• Ensuring that all paperwork is completed in a timely manner and to the necessary Foyle Food Group standards.
• Supervision and motivation of direct and indirect reports.
• Reporting of daily KPI figures.
• Partnering with the Slaughter Hall Manager in the review of performance and identifying training needs for employees.
• Working with the wider team to implement the Company’s policies and goals, ensuring Health & Safety guidelines are followed.
Key competencies of the candidate to include:
• Have relevant supervisory experience within a production environment.
• Have a working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and communication qualities.
• Be target driven and able to work within set time constraints.
• Can make effective decisions within a pressurised environment.
• Ability to fulfil administration requirements of the position and IT skills.
• Be self-motivated, confident and show drive, enthusiasm and initiative.
• Be prepared to work flexible hours in line with the demands of production and customer requirements.
• Flexible with your approach with others and with daily tasks.
Desirable certification (or willingness to undergo training):
• FSA WATOK Licence (units A11, A41, A42, A43, A51, A52 and A53)
• Animal Welfare Processing Officer
• Shunter
• Counterbalance
