Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient daily line production scheduling, recipe management, dashboards and forecast processing, TIMs amendments, replenishment, and KPI monitoring.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver cost-effective and efficient daily plan to production, optimising stock utilisation.
  • Plan and coordinate all meat, ingredients, and packaging needed for the day.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to address any variances and ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage recipe adherence to minimize write-offs.
  • Utilize dashboards and forecasts to optimize inventory and aid in stock rotation and planning.
  • Work closely with clients to handle daily variances and maintain system alignment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication with transport regarding load adjustments.
  • Provide weekly forecast figures to relevant teams.
  • Monitor service levels and report on plan attainment and daily KPIs.
  • Collaborate with production and finance teams to optimize decision-making and cost savings.
  • Facilitate direct communication with customers for a transparent supply chain approach.
  • Manage cold store stock call-offs and defrost schedules to meet customer demand.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in supply chain coordination or related field, background in food manufacturing would be beneficial .
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and forecasting.
  • Sound knowledge of inventory management and production planning.
  • Customer-focused mindset and ability to build strong relationships.
