Technical Manager | Attleborough

The main purpose of the role is to lead the site Technical Team to ensure food safety and quality compliance across operations.  To drive standards and be the subject matter expert (SME) at site for food safety and quality.

What You Will Be Doing

• Maintain and improve customer relationships and be the lead for any site visits or meetings off site for Technical.
• To ensure the right resource is in place, the with right capability, to deliver food safety and quality strategy.
• To support the operational team with factory issues and support toot cause analysis through active participation of the team.  To be the crisis lead for th4e site for any escalation and the key link to group technical.
• Lead and support the Technical Team to ensure compliance to Regulatory, BRC, Retail and OPEX-MS standards.
• Maintain the site technical budget.
• Drive continuous improvement at site to improve our technical systems and processes through group and site initiative.
• To ensure metric data is submitted accurately and on time each month.
• To be a Values champion for Technical and drive employee engagement actions throughout the Team.

What You Will Need

• Relevant 3rd Level Qualification in a related discipline
• Working knowledge of BRC and industry regulations
• HACCP Level 4
• Extensive experience and knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems
• Experience in leading audits
• Proven track record in leading others
• Results focused with the ability to influence others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Report & Procedural Writing Skills
• Good attention to detail
• Proficient use of Microsoft office
