A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Salesperson to join a leading food manufacturing and trading organisation.

Your Responsibilities

As a Trainee Salesperson, you will work within the Primary Division, supporting experienced sales professionals while learning all aspects of commercial operations in a food factory environment.

Key Duties:

  • Provide sales and administrative support to the Primary Commercial Manager and wider team.

  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.

  • Build relationships with new and existing customers.

  • Assist in the execution of the company’s overall sales strategy.

  • Learn and use internal software systems and Microsoft Excel effectively.

  • Analyse raw material availability and support commercial decisions to maximise sales opportunities.

  • Take initiative in developing creative ideas and proposals to enhance customer engagement.

Essential Criteria:

  • Keen and enthusiastic attitude with a genuine interest in sales.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous exposure to a commercial or trading environment.

  • Knowledge of beef and lamb cuts or agri-business operations.

  • Degree in Agri Business, Business, or Sales-related discipline.
