Yard Operative | Sawley

We are actively seeking applications from individuals keen to take up a career within one of Europe’s leading food processing companies – Dunbia UK, part of the Dawn Group. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team, who have a desire to produce better food naturally.

The successful candidate will be working as part of the Stores/Yard Team, on a Monday to Friday shift, working 7am to 3.30pm. Full training will be provided for all duties below.

• Assist with the removal of waste product and dispose into correct categories.
• Deliver empty pallets and stacks of trays to allow production to flow.
• Sorting dirty trays ready for washing.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across external locations on site, including the yards, smoking area and carpark. Includes litter picking, waste removal and routine monitoring of cleanliness across external locations.
• Jet washing as required.
• Grass cutting/strimming and general garden maintenance.
• Assisting the Environmental Department with the collection of samples or performing routine checks.
• Reporting defects in equipment immediately to your Line Manager.
• Communicating effectively with the shift Managers to maintain the constant flow of product through the factory.
• Possibility of FLT training at a later date.

• Display a positive and proactive attitude.
• Have the ability to work on your own initiative whilst also working as part of a team.
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must be numerate & literate
• Ability to work under pressure
• FLT Counter balance License beneficial, or must be willing to undertake this training if required.
