We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join our team in Kepak Kirkham.

This position is responsible for growing and strengthening existing partnerships while developing new business opportunities. You will shape and execute the strategic implementation of the commercial plan by establishing and proactively managing relationships at multiple levels.

Our products are widely distributed through Out of Home (OOH) and Food to Go (FTG) channels, reaching key end-users across the foodservice industry. We work closely with distributors such as BidFood and Brakes to drive product sales and growth in these markets. There is plenty of opportunity for growth and an opportunity to make your mark with the support and backing of the Senior National Account Manager (SNAM) and the team around you. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive business development and relationship building – independently reaching out to potential customers, gaining meetings, and building rapport with stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Research – independently searching for new opportunities, mapping stakeholders, and understanding their decision-making processes.
  • Account management – managing your own portfolio of key end-user accounts, ensuring strong relationships and meeting business KPIs.
  • Account growth – developing strategies to expand existing accounts and increase brand distribution.
  • Pitching – creating and delivering high-quality, professional presentations to potential partners.
  • Planning and forecasting – building reports to track performance, identifying trends, and creating financial projections.
  • Supporting onboarding – working with internal teams and new customers to plan, schedule, and execute account rollouts.
  • Managing customer admin requirements – including new line forms, samples, merchandising, and supply chain issues.
  • Networking – with key influencers across the market to identify opportunities for distribution growth.

Requirements

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 1-3 years of commercial and networking experience in foodservice or food manufacturing.
  • This role requires regular travel required around the UK, a full driving license is essential
  • A self-starter with strong business development and sales skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities, negotiation skills, and the confidence to network with new and existing contacts.
  • Ability to lead pitches and high-impact presentations.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret category and financial insights.
