Aldens is a rapidly growing company that is always looking out for talented butchers to join our friendly team.

We are specialist catering butchers that source and supply the highest quality meat to schools, colleges, hotels and restaurants. We have been in business for over 230 years and are just entering an exciting phase in the company’s history with a move to a new purpose-built factory in Bicester.

We are looking for a de-boner to work in our production team and reporting to the production manager.

The Deboner will be responsible for removing bones from meat in order to prepare them for further processing. They must be skilled in boning sides of beef and also rump and loins and ribs of beef. Ideally someone that has worked in a beef boning hall. Additional jobs will also include breaking down lambs. The Deboner must also adhere to health and safety guidelines and food hygiene standards. They must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to keep up with production demands.

• Prepare animal carcasses for further processing

• Removal of bones from meat

• Inspection of meat to identify impurities and defects

• Ensure food safety regulations are followed

• Excellent knife skills

• Ability to read and follow instructions

• Ability to work independently

• Good eye for detail
