Business Development & Operations Manager
This role involves being part of a small team to hunt and attract new business opportunities to play your part in the continued success of the Company by directing and coordinating the operations of the Meat wholesale to maximize business performance and meet financial goals.

Key responsibilities of a Business Development & Operations Manager include:
- Ambitiously, creatively, and conscientiously plan, organise, and undertake market research to meet the requirements of the company’s marketing and sales policies.
- Liaise with other senior staff to determine the range of goods or services to be sold, contribute to the development of sales strategies, and set sales targets.
- Discuss client requirements, carry out surveys, and analyse customers’ reactions to products, packaging, price, etc.
- Appoint staff, assign tasks, and monitor and review staff performance.
- Liaise with other staff to provide information about merchandise, special promotions, etc.
- Ensures that adequate reserves of merchandise are held and that stock-keeping is carried out efficiently
- Examine the quality of merchandise and ensure that effective use is made of advertising and display facilities.
· Compile and analyse sales figures, prepare proposals for marketing campaigns and promotional activities, and undertake market research.
· Handle customer accounts and ensure customer complaints and queries regarding sales and service are appropriately handled.
· Recruit and train staff and keep up to date with products and competitors.
- Review, develop, and implement stock control, handling, and distribution policies to maximize the use of space, money, labour, and other resources.
- Oversees the maintenance of financial and other records and controls security arrangements for the premises.
- Authorise payment for supplies received and decide on vending price, discount rates, and credit terms.
- Decide on storage conditions for particular items, allocate warehouse space, and arrange for regular stock inspections to detect deterioration or damage.
Key Performance Indicators
- Deliver the agreed targets as a minimum.
- Monitor and maintain agreed pipeline healthy KPIs and velocity to ensure targets are achievable.
- strategically identify new markets and products, and maximize longer-term market opportunities.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to £50,000.00 per year- dependent on experience
(Minimum 5 years relevant experience required)
