Role purpose

• Carry out skilled butchery, trimming and meat preparation tasks

• Ensure meat products are processed safely, efficiently and to specification

Key responsibilities

• Cut, trim and prepare meat to customer and production specifications

• Use knives and butchery equipment safely and effectively

• Maintain high standards of quality, yield and consistency

• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times

• Work to line speeds and daily production targets

• Minimise waste and maximise product yield

• Keep work areas clean, organised and compliant

• Carry out quality checks and report any issues promptly

• Work collaboratively as part of the production team

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a butcher in food manufacturing or processing

• Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts

• Experience working in a high-volume environment

• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards

• Reliable, punctual and consistent work ethic

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
