We are seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to join our team. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting meat products according to customer specifications. Your expertise in food preparation and knowledge of food safety regulations will ensure the highest quality products for our customers.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cut meat products such as beef, pork, poultry, and seafood
– Trim excess fat, bone, and gristle from meat cuts
– Portion meat into appropriate sizes for packaging or display
– Wrap, package, and label meat products for sale
– Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the butcher area
– Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
– Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their meat selections
– Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines
Experience:
– Proven experience as a Butcher or similar role in a culinary or food production setting
– Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and their uses
– Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
– Ability to use butcher equipment such as knives, saws, grinders, and slicers
– Excellent knife skills and precision in cutting meat
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
