Primrose Herd is an award winning family run business producing sausages, bacon, Cornish hogs pudding, hams and fresh pork cuts from our butchery near St Day.
Due to continued growth we are looking for a Food Production operative to join our small team and help with the production of cured products.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous food production experience but even if you just have a passion for food we want to hear from you !
You will be responsible for all aspects of meat preparation from weighing, packing, curing, cold smoking and slicing.
You will need to be :
Self motivated and able to work on your own initiative as well as within a team.
Work at a good speed and to deadlines.
Good manual dexterity.
Good attention to detail.
Able to follow written and verbal instructions including important hygiene procedures.

The role is physical and involves working within a chilled environment with raw or cured meat (pork/bacon).
Working hours :
Monday to Thursday 5 am to 3 pm
Friday 4 am to 2 pm.
You maybe required to stay later during busy periods- summer season and Christmas.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £13.00 per hour
