What we are looking for:
We are looking for a professional and experienced Category Executive to join our growing Category & Insight team. As a Category Executive you will be responsible for supporting categories with well thought through and considered insight which will be used to create compelling insights, support category recommendations, plans and strategies through into tangible actions.
Key responsibilities as a Category Executive will be to:
Bring to life in a compelling way market and customer data, which tells the story of what has happened.
Assisting the wider team with online research reports and taking an active role, taking an active role and driving this through to completion.
Monitor and analyse category performance, identifying the trends which are driving growth.
Accurately track market activity for example price, promotions and events, communicating key changes to internal stakeholders, in a timely manner both in store and online.
Track recommendations and implementation plans across all of the 6’s (price, promotion, product, place, presentation & people).
Provide analysis across all aspects of category cycle including: ranging, promotional strategy, communication, merchandising, new products and store formats/ channels.
Assist in bespoke category analysis as required.
Support the preparation of presentations for customers as required.
Required experience/expertise to succeed as a Category Executive will include:
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to be logical and methodical in your approach.
A full driving license.
Good Microsoft office skills.
