Corporate Account Manager – Hotels

Home based – some travel required.

The role:

We currently have a great opportunity to join the team as a Corporate Account Manager. You will develop and deliver a strategy in line with Brakes aims and goals. To achieve and exceed budgeted sales and margin targets. To work closely with and establish strong working relationships with internal cross-functional teams and with the customers’ Procurement and Supply Chain and other key stakeholders.

Working alongside the other CAM’s to deliver on contractual commitments in line with our Joint Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

To Achieve & Exceed Sales & Margin Targets through effective management, development & motivation of cross-functional teams

  • Identify and unlock volume opportunities through effective selling
  • Mobilising new account and category wins
  • Management and ownership of pricing and inflation in line with contractual commitments
  • Ensure all administrative duties are carried out accurately and on time e.g. Responding to the customers’ queries in a timely fashion & any Brakes project deadlines
  • To Operate Cross Functionally to build Internal & External Business Relationships
  • Monitor service against contract commitments & drive improvement
  • Successfully understand and communicate the needs of our customer within Brakes. (e.g. Purchasing, Marketing, Accounts and Operations)
  • Influence customers at senior levels across their organisation to achieve mutual goals
  • To monitor sales & margin against budget and to take corrective action when necessary
  • To jointly own and manage your personal career development with your manager
  • Undertake any other relevant duties e.g. Product presentations

Required skills and competencies:

Essential:

  • Experience in a sales environment, ideally with large customers
  • Desire to succeed, self-starter & ability to set SMART business objectives
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commercially focused, able to interpret, understand & act upon financial data
  • Ability to build and manage strong relationships (Internally & externally)
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint & Word
  • Can demonstrate effective planning, briefing, implementation and monitoring of projects or initiatives
  • Driving Licence

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the contract catering sector
  • Experience in a national account within the food industry
