What we are looking for:
We are looking for a professional and experienced Head of Supply Chain to join our growing team. As a Head of Supply Chain you will be the main point of contact for all matters relating to CSR reporting and project management across the Seafood and Added Value categories, spanning CSR projects across raw materials and the associated supply chains. You will work with suppliers to assess the sustainability and technical status of fisheries and aquaculture across Hilton Seafoods and Added Value categories and as a Subject matter expert communicating to all customers and eternal stakeholders, on these matters.
Key responsibilities as a Head of Supply Chain will be to:
To undertake supply chain assessments of factories, farms, vessels, hatcheries and others to ensure the quality, food safety, ethical and responsible sourcing requirements are met and delivered.
To implement and develop robust sourcing policies and systems ensuring that all sourced seafood is purchased in accordance with them.
To manage and develop key interfaces with all strategic suppliers, driving forward the sustainability and ethical standards.
To support both the Commercial and the Buying team in the sustainability development of new and existing, raw materials, to improve the efficiency and quality of knowledge gathering across the supply base.
To deliver and support environmental initiatives throughout our supply base.
Expert guidance and support in the development of Technical and sourcing policies across fish and Seafood.
Proactively engage with retail responsible sourcing Managers and the relevant internal departments to ensure that both strategic projects and improvement strategies are managed and proactively updated.
To support in the development of new and existing supply chains aligned to the buying team.
Required experience/expertise to succeed as a Head of Supply Chain will include:
Extensive Aquaculture experience recognised through external qualifications and /or related work experience
Experience in co-ordinating environmental projects and workstreams
Strong working knowledge of Social CSR responsibilities and able to contribute at forums on such matters and set and lead Hilton Seafoods agenda in this area (aligned to the over arching group strategy)
Experience across complex supply chains
Able to manage high level relationships with variety of stakeholders
Broad and proven experience in sustainability
Ability to simultaneously manage numerous projects and workstreams with focus on ‘best practice’
