Key Accountabilities

  • Provide leadership to the Hygiene team in a way that encourages and motivates them.
  • Ensure the Hygiene team adhere to Health and Safety practices.
  • Schedule cleaning tasks to ensure full compliance to daily and weekly schedules.
  • Ensure all logs and documentation are kept up to date and audit ready.
  • Be part of the site HACCP team.
  • Ensure all production equipment is cleaned to a high standard and is ready for start-up.
  • Assist in training Hygiene Operatives in all areas of the Hygiene activities.
  • Ensure Hygiene KPIs are met.
  • Liaise with other departments as required – eg, Engineering, Operations, Planning.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven track record of leading and managing a team is essential.
  • Motivational and empathetic management style is essential.
  • Quality, chemical and hygiene training highly desirable.
  • Previous hygiene experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Good organisational skills and a strong work ethic.
  • A team player, willing to step in and support the team when required.
  • An eye for detail, quality focused and results oriented.
