You’ll be Marel’s closest contact to our customers; you get to interact with them one-on-one, in person, at exhibitions, demos or other occasions. An Industry Sales Manager at Marel will:

  • Work in close collaboration with Regional Sales Director, Account Managers, Distribution Partners, and Regional Sales Operations
  • Participate in the process of establishing and implementing a structural industry market plan for a region
  • Drive the sales of complex solutions; justify their value and help increase Marel’s market share while meeting customer requirements
  • Support and train Account Managers within depth process knowledge
  • Be responsible for realizing sales (targets in volume and achieving the best possible price and market share for complex solutions)
  • Be responsible for visit reports, opportunity registration and follow-up (maintaining data in Company CRM systems)
  • Collect information on competitors’ activities, installed base, requirements, and developments
  • Meet KPI (Key Performance Indicators) goals with sales and margins

  • An excellent time manager, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

 

An Industry Sales Manager at Marel has:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other relevant subject, or experience equivalent to a four year degree
  • 5 years’ experience in outside business-to-business sales of technical/ mechanical systems and equipment, preferably with an international company
  • Up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of the product and processing techniques within your own area of responsibility
  • Skills in software such as a CRM system, Microsoft Office
  • Excellent skills in written and verbal English
  • The commitment to travel extensively within the assigned sales territory (up to 40% of your time)
  • The ability to travel abroad for sales and training purposes as needed
  • Experience with working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization
