Kepak Mclntosh Donald are looking for a Meat Market Operative to join our team on full-time basis, working Monday to Friday.

Role Purpose

Responsible for stock movement and rotation of red meat for sale and consumption in accordance with client specifications and Company SOP’s.

Requirements

  • Unload product from chills, moving to designated location
  • Handling product with care and consideration to maintaining quality and yields of meat
  • Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet daily targets
  • Minimise and manage waste effectively/as instructed
  • Ensure product is of the highest standard, reporting any issues to the Line supervisor immediately
  • Be familiar with the daily production plan and work as part of the team to set up the meat market, complete checks and ensuring materials are ready to use
  • Perform all prestart, hygiene and safety checks as instructed ·
  • Maintaining good understanding and knowledge of customer specifications and yields
  • Complying with Company’s health and safety rules, including hygiene requirements
  • Report all breakages, damages or defaults of equipment immediately to Line Supervisor, only using equipment when safe to do so
  • Reporting any accidents or near misses, assisting with investigations as instructed/necessary
  • Minimising and reporting of waste appropriately
  • Maintaining and securely storing tools and equipment
  • Actively participate in all required company training
  • Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.

  • Consistent approach and strong work ethic.
  • Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Adaptable to change and production demands.
