Typical working week includes 5 day over Monday-Saturday, with a day off in the week.
Duties:
– Oversee the daily operations of the butcher shop, ensuring efficient and smooth workflow
– Manage a team of butchers and provide guidance and training as needed
– Coordinate with suppliers to ensure a steady and high-quality supply of meat products
– Monitor inventory levels and place orders for meat and other necessary supplies
– Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
– Prepare meat cuts according to customer specifications and preferences
– Assist customers with their meat selection and provide recommendations on cooking methods
– Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer orders
Qualifications:
– Previous experience working in a restaurant or culinary environment, preferably in a butcher shop or meat department
– Strong knowledge of food production, food safety, and food preparation techniques
– Excellent knife skills and ability to handle various types of meat cuts
– Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
– Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
– Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
– Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
