Beef Sirloin

Sirloin is a large joint of beef found in the hindquarter and it is part of the loin. Sirloin is renowned for being a great cut for steaks.

Sirloin of beef is tender and full of flavour. It can be used for steaks and roasting joints. Though it is not one of the cheapest cuts, it is certainly one of the most well-known.

Legend has it that sirloin is so called because it was knighted ‘Sir Loin’ by Henry VIII.

The sirloin steak has great flavour and is suitable for grilling, pan-frying, griddling or cooking on a BBQ.
