Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a skilled butcher. This diverse business operates a medium scale catering division as well as an ever-expanding retail shop and online butchery shop. The business specialises in producing and selling their own farm reared Aberdeen Angus Beef & outdoor bred Duroc cross Pork from the commercial unit based on the farm at Winfrith Newburgh. We also supply fresh fruit and vegetables as well as our own range of freshly prepared vegetables from our sister site at Weymouth.
This role is suited to someone who is keen to progress through the management structure as this position will be assistant butchery manager. The role will suit someone who is keen to increase their daily work responsibilities and share in managing this ever-increasing butchery department. We currently supply around 150-200 outlets which consists of: pubs, restaurants, schools, and hospitals.
The Role
· Full carcass butchery of Beef, lamb, pork, and poultry.
· Competent at portion control cutting.
· Work efficiently to a high standard to meet customers individual requirements.
· Be capable of stock rotation.
· Be capable of being able to conduct yield calculations.
· Deliver an outstanding experience to all customers.
The Candidate
· Previous experience is not essential as training can be required.
· Excellent customer service and sales skills
· Be a good communicator to butchery team, management team and customers.
· Be honest, reliable, and dedicated.
· Knowledge of HACCP is beneficial.
· Be physically fit as the work can be very demanding.

· Hours: Monday – Friday 4:30 – 13:00, Saturdays 4:30 – 9:30 (every other Saturday)
