As our newest team member you will need to be able to demonstrate not only your excellent butchery skills, but also a passion for customer service inline with our company ethos.
With this site having won Butchers shop of the Year for the South of England in 2022, personal presentation, cleanliness and maintenance of our counter displays is critical and you will need to have a keen eye for detail, showcasing our superb meat to its very best.
We have an unbeatable reputation and you will need to learn quickly and help us deliver the first class service that we pride ourselves upon.
Hours
5 days per week (to include every Saturday, and Sundays on a rota basis). Core hours are 7.30-5pm (45hrs)
There will be a requirement to be flexible with days/hours and be available for overtime during busy trading periods throughout the year.
Job Description/Person Specification
· Be an experienced or qualified butcher.
· Skills to include breaking down of carcasses into primal cuts and end products
· Passionate about delivering great customer service
· Relevant experience in a retail environment
· Ability to drive the business forward whilst maintaining focus on standards and overall results
· Ability to work to deadlines and really rise to a challenge with a Can Do’ attitude
· Have a fresh thinking and a continuous improvement mind-set
· Be a strong influencer able to communicate at all levels with excellent customer service skills.
· Ability to thrive in a busy environment and communicate your enthusiasm and expertise to customers and your colleagues.
· Play a key role alongside the directors in organising key events in the calendar such as Christmas ensuring that everything is in place to deliver a first class goods and service to our customers both retail and wholesale.
· Confidence and willingness to serve customers using our computerised checkouts
· An eye for detail and presentation.
· Full clean, manual driving licence.
· Able to travel between locations as required for the needs of the business
· Ability to work to deadline with accuracy and professionalism
· Ability to plan daily work tasks and work on your own initiative.
