The Role:

Reporting into the site General Manager, this role is a critical part of the site management Team. This is an exciting time to join a fast paced and manage the site Health and Safety Team in ABP Clones. You will have support from the Group Health and Safety Manager. This is an ideal opportunity for a confident individual with a positive ‘can do attitude’, and the drive to get the job done.

Requirements

• Level 8 qualification – Health & Safety with 3-5 years relevant industry experience

• Computer literate – Proficient in Microsoft office.

• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanour

• Hardworking and flexible with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Highly organized individual with excellent attention to detail and great accuracy

• A self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative in a busy, results-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Engaging and influencing the Site Safety Management Team at a senior level

• Responsible for being up to date with new Health & Safety Legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of developments within our industry.

• Building the Health & Safety Culture throughout the site

• Conducting regular internal audits to check policies & procedures are being properly implemented, recording the results & communicating them to Management.

• Carrying out/updating risk assessments, formulating preventative measures, and monitoring conformance

• Developing safe systems of work & maintaining risk trackers as required

• Attending & heading up weekly Safety briefings/huddles with Line Managers

• Investigating, recording & conducting follow ups of any incident, accident, or near misses

• Ensuring the site Emergency Plan & Procedures is up to date, communicated & understood by all key responders.

• Ensuring all equipment is installed & operated safely as per legislation.

• Leading third party Health & Safety inspections & audits
