Kepak is one of Europe’s leading food producers in the food production industry, is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Traffic Planner to join our team. With 12 manufacturing plants across the UK and Ireland.

As a Traffic Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of goods within Kepak’s logistics network. You will work closely with various internal departments, such as production, warehouse, and customer service, as well as external parties, including transport providers. Attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

 

The successful applicant will work Thursday to Monday 08:00 until 17:00.

 

This role can also be referred to as a Traffic Planner.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule transportation routes to meet customer requirements and optimize efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, transport providers, and customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Monitor and track transportation activities to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and guidelines.
  • Communicate any issues or delays in the transportation process and propose solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure proper loading, unloading, and storage of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to transportation activities, such as shipment details and delivery confirmations.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize transportation processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Traffic Planner or in a similar logistics role.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficient in transportation management software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
